Scope and contact

This notice covers the main locsic.com website, operated by Phoenix Lee / Locsic.com. External services and subdomains may handle data differently. For privacy questions, use the contact page.

Visits and reading analytics

The site uses first-party analytics to understand content visits, referral sources, reading progress and active reading time. Your browser may send page paths, titles, language, referring pages, limited attribution parameters, click targets and reading events to this site. Referral information is used to classify traffic sources.

Analytics records use hashed browser, session and visitor identifiers, not a register of named readers. The server handles IP addresses and browser information when processing requests and may derive visitor estimates from them. Hashing is not full anonymization. Hosting and CDN providers also process network information needed to deliver pages, prevent abuse and diagnose faults.

Some visits are sampled for loading, responsiveness and layout-stability metrics. Browser analytics respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals in this browser. These signals do not stop network requests needed to deliver pages or server-side security records.

Browser storage and cookies

• Local storage remembers your language preference.
• Reading analytics may store a random browser identifier with a 90-day client expiry. Session storage holds attribution information; a new session starts after 30 minutes of inactivity. These durations are not a general retention limit for server records.
• Features such as reading position may use session storage. Console authentication uses cookies; reading public articles does not require an account.

You can clear this site's browser data, restrict storage or enable supported privacy signals. Clearing data may reset language, reading position or login state. Later visits may create new analytics identifiers.

Advertising: not enabled

This site currently loads no Google AdSense advertising scripts and neither requests nor displays ads. Publisher verification information prepared for a future integration does not itself enable advertising.

If Google ads are introduced, Google and third-party partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on visits to this and other websites. Before activation, this notice will be updated to identify the services used and appropriate consent and withdrawal mechanisms will be configured. This page does not record or imply your consent to advertising tracking.

Retention, correspondence and requests

The current application removes performance-sample date files older than 30 days. Other analytics, security logs and backups follow their respective operational processes; there is not yet one automatic expiry rule covering all records. Contact me to ask about particular records or request correction or deletion. Whether a record can be located depends on the information retained. Do not send passwords or other sensitive credentials.

Information you send by email is used to respond to that correspondence. Your email provider handles mail under its own policies. Material changes to these practices will be reflected in this notice and its date.
